Elemental Magic

My plan all along has been to build my character as mostly a mage. Im getting close to my first elemental magic and I am heavily considering Air or Water magic now. However, i am leaning more towards Air because many spells take Mandrake which is supported by my almost 100 herbgather.. Where as Water magic takes a lot of nacre, and im not a fan of fishing

Just wanted to give a heads up in case anyone has any suggestions. I figure if we could get members with each elemental magic instead of 5 guys with fire and air it would work better. But I guess it really doesn't matter in the end.

I am also going to focus on getting 100 greater magic.. so I decided to opt out on Spell Chanting and Witchcraft for the time being. But we'll see what happens.

What is everyone else planning on doing for magic?

my plan for magic is to become fire mage and rape eveyrone with firewall, overall though wind magic and fire magic tend to have the most publicity in game, cant help but be apart of the mob all the same, damage dealing is what i intend to stick with throughout the game, hence fire magic

I'm not too knowledgable about magics. My GM is onlt at 13 or so. However, I have heard good things about wichcraft and Needles. Fire magic is good, too. Kinda flashy.

To be honest dont pick one based on regs, with elemental you'll burn through them faster than you can herb anyway. Youll get to the point where you need to buy it in huge bulk. Air I believe is the weakest of ele's for pure mages or maybe its water.

True, I will just end up buying regs in bulk.. but I may still go with air regardless. I like the combination of attack/buff/slow spells it has. Understandably its not as powerful as fire, but I dont plan on ever being a "pure" mage because it just doesnt exist in Darkfall. I still have a little ways to go.. we'll see what happens.

i was planning on going spell chanting then \arcane to be a healer/support for the guild...

I was considering Water myself, partly because it seems to be unpopular and partly because that's what I wanted to go with to begin with. Also gonna try and work my way up to Necromancy, but I'm a few points shy of getting Witchcraft still. Soon my need for nacre will be insatiable!

I am working on Earth and fire mainly...

I have Air and water also, but only for the self buffs.

My earth is at lvl 45.... SOOOOOO close and my fire is at 25.

Im gonig all out arcane just because...

dont wanna be a carbon copy fire caster, maybe go water/arcane

I ended up going earth first and gonna work that and greater magic up before taking on another for now

Go earth magic, its much cheaper and powerful. The acid ward consumes only 1 mandrake.
Earth magec has 3 damage nukes, corrosive blast, disintegrate, and meteor strike, the school also has other useful spells like brawn, stoneskin and ironskin.
I hope you choose earth magic.

I'm primarily a fire mage. Recently I've gotten fire wall and a level 75 fireball nuke which is... awesome =D. But now I'm going to focus on earth magic, which is presently 25.

Fire magic is something of a nuisance for me, i would have to say like the movies say:

"fire is dangerous, if you play with it you may burn yourself"

can safely say i have medium level of fire magic and burn myself ALOT lol, it sucks, anyone can give me some opinions on what elemental magic i may want to co-train along with fire magic? to make it a bit more settling and whimsical use of magic? Basically an elemental skill tree
